Judith Burakowski, LCI

League of American Bicyclists Instructor

Judy on her fat bike

Judy joined up with Gus’ Bike shop in April of 2016.  A retired teacher and grandmother of five, she has been able to pair her passion for bicycling with teaching. When cycling season starts up in the spring she can be found presenting the NH Bike-Walk Alliance’s safe cycling program to students in elementary schools across the state. In the fall of 2016 Judy completed her League Cycling Instructor certification through the League of American Bicyclists.  Judy enjoys working part-time at Gus’, surrounded by coworkers who are as passionate about cycling as she is.

Judy began road cycling in 2011.  After three rotations of the road bike pedals on her first ride, she was “hooked”.  She’s now the owner of three bikes, with her favorite being her Felt DD 30 fat bike.  Judy can be found with Gus’ Gals cruising up the coast on her road bike in the pace line on Thursday nights in the summer, or blasting through single tracks in fall, winter and spring on the Felt DD 30.   Gravel roads are no exception either, especially when there’s a Raid on Rockingham, one of her favorite organized rides.   Her go-to ride is a loop that winds through Goffstown, Bow, Dunbarton, Manchester and Weare.

A happy cyclist, Judy smiles for the camera
