John Bocko

John was the second owner of Gus' bike shop. Surfing brought John to the Seacoast after college and a passion for cycling soon developed. In 1981 he purchased the shop from Gus.

Whether it was bicycling, motorcycles, hiking, fishing, kayaking, bird watching or downhill skiing, John gave his all to whatever he was doing.  He particularly loved mountain climbing and hiking in the White Mountains.

John was very active in the community and was involved with Boy Scouts, Bike Safety, Career Days, the Fish House Foundation and the Pan-Mass Challenge.  Theh Pan-Mass challenge was very dear to his heart because he wanted to do his part in helping to find a cure for cancer. Cancer took his life, but could not destroy the legacy he left behind.
